The Hanover Inn Gingerbread House is currently on display in the lobby of the The Hanover Inn at Dartmouth College where students are encouraged to stop by and write a story about the house.  The gingerbread house holiday writing contest stories can be dropped off at the front desk at The Hanover Inn or mailed to PO BOX 151, Hanover, NH 03755 by noon on December 3rd, 2011.  Please include your name, age and grade on your story.  An address or phone number will be required to notify the winners!

Come out and kick off the holiday season in Downtown Hanover.  Enjoy live performances from local artists, take a horse drawn wagon ride, meet Santa and watch as the Dartmouth Christmas Tree is lit up!

See it before it leaves to continue its national tour.  The Earth from Space exhibit presents amazingly detailed images of Earth taken from orbiting satellites.

Mark your calendars for this exciting yet educational exhibit.  Learn the basics of evolution through an engaging story, exhibits and activities. 

Andy’s Place

In a specially designed area for kids 5 and under, kids can explore exhibits created especially for them.  Andy's Place has a bear den, aquarium, puzzles, games and more.

The Hanover Inn at Dartmouth College Unveils Plans for Renovation

The Hanover Inn at Dartmouth College which overlooks the majestic Dartmouth College Green and Baker Tower is ending the last quarter of 2011 with the announcement of a multi-million dollar renovation project of its renowned hotel.  Enhancements will be underway beginning December 5, 2011 through Spring of 2012, with full completion expected by October.

For more than 225 years the Inn's history has been one of constant growth as it has enjoyed continued prosperity and an opportunity to serve its guests.  The upcoming renovations will no doubt please the Inn's loyal repeat guests as well as those visiting for the first time.   

Included in the renovation plans are the addition of multiple new suites and guest rooms plus the refurbishment of all existing sleeping rooms.  The first floor will house a ballroom and junior ballroom with the current location of the Daniel Webster Room to become a pre-function space.  The restaurant will be relocated to the Hayward Lounge and will include additional private dining rooms.  Finally a half dozen or so "smart" conference rooms will be added on the lower level rounding out the renovations.
